Ο Σεβασμιώτατος κ. Δωρόθεος Β', κατά την εξ Αγίου Όρους επιστροφή του στην Αθήνα, μετέβη στα Γρεβενά και τέλεσε οφειλετικώς τρισάγιο επί του σκηνώματος του μακαριστού Μητροπολίτου Γρεβενών κυρού Σεργίου, με τον οποίο τον συνέδεαν δεσμοί αμοιβαίας αγάπης και σεβασμού.
